Job Title: Solution Architect - AI Acceleration Strategy
Location: Hartford, CT is preferred, but Morristown, NJ can also work. Steve works out of Hartford, so its desirable to have this person in Hartford. 3 days/week need to go to office.
Background: We are seeking a Solution Architect for the Falcon Project, to drive our AI acceleration strategy and architecture, focusing on internal-facing solutions. The Falcon solution is used for clause comparison. It is a combination of microservices running on OpenShift, it has just started to use and LLM via SecureGPT APIs, it has a React / Java Springboot UI. Backend code is written on Databricks. The solution is leveraged by both our insurance and reinsurance business where we have firewalls between the organizations. This has led to a design to looks to share code but have things running in different containers.
The team is looking to get started with the next round of requirements on Jan 1. So, we are looking to have someone lined up to available for Late Dec / early Jan. John will do client interviews.
Job Title: Solution Architect - AI Acceleration Strategy

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a micro design for AI solutions, focusing on:
- OCR and document intelligence
- Similarity capabilities
- Composing foundation blocks
- Architect solutions using Azure, with a strong emphasis on Azure Document Intelligence.
- Design and implement AI search solutions using Vector Databases and RAG solutions.
- Process and analyze policy and actuary data using vector analysis techniques. Mostly unstructured data processing, pdf, document etc…less of excel file processing (Excels are processed in Salesforce mostly)
- Collaborate with teams using OpenShift for UI development, integrating with React and Spring Boot.
- Develop and integrate APIs for the Insurance Workbench.
- Plan for the future integration with Unity Catalog, targeting implementation in 2025.
- Set up and manage MLflow for model evaluation and establish a model registry.
- Explore the use of Langchain for enhancing solution capabilities (nice to have).
- Develop pricing models using Python.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Solution Architect, particularly in AI and data solutions.
- Strong expertise in Azure cloud services, especially Azure Document Intelligence.
- Familiarity with AI search technologies and Vector Databases.
- Experience with OpenShift, React, and Spring Boot for UI development.
- Proficiency in API development and integration.
- Understanding of MLflow and model registry setup.
- Knowledge of Langchain is a plus.
- Experience with Python for pricing model development.
- Familiarity with Salesforce for Excel file processing.
